Your Michigan ESL Professional Advisory Committee

The English as a Second Language Professional Advisory Committee is an advisor to the State of Michigan Workforce Development Agency, Education and Career Success, Office of Adult Education.

The ESL Professional Advisory Committee is composed of ESL adult educators from across Michigan. It seeks to provide ESL adult educators with a greater sense of cohesiveness through a forum for discussions; to increase the awareness of ESL adult educators as well as the larger community of issues related to ESL; to provide a resource for the sharing of ideas, information, and state requirements for ESL; and to make available to ESL educators opportunities for professional development.

All districts with adult ESL programs are invited to send a representative to be on the committee. Please check our calendar for meeting dates.  Meetings are usually from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Wesley Foundation in East Lansing.
